My work employs several media, such as painting, drawing, printing, and performance in order to create a bridge between my religious past and my secular present. My works connect my personal memories with what I believe I have imagined would have happened in my past.
Time and distance are very important issues in my work and I see them as point in space that are linked by continuous lines, lines that are both physically present in my work but also stratified in their conceptual fabric.
While I consider art making in general as a form of elevation, I see the subjects of mywork with tools for ‘existential diving’. Furthermore I see my position – that of an artist – as a dynamic one and its function is to connect two distant points with a convoluted but continues thin line.
